HOT KEYS let you access the really important information from a single key-press, no matter where you are in the system - whether entering a sales invoice, runing the payroll, inspecting a reports - whereever, whatever, whenever.

Alt-L Ledger Enquiries

Alt-L is the hot key to all of the accounts data. Sales, Purchase, Nominal, Stock, Orders, Job - in fact all the application systems data retained in Datafile.

One key combination and you can see all the current and historicial information held by the systems.

Examples:

Alt-L on the Sales Ledger - look up an account - see current transactions, just outstanding transactions, all transactions (we recommend you keep these forever), view actual invoices and credits, perform an aged analysis, view sales orders etc.

Alt-L on the Purchase Ledger - all the features as the sales ledger above but if you are scanning documents then see the document on screen and re-print options.

Alt-L on Stock - see transactions, batch / serial tracking, sales orders, purchase orders, and multi location details.

Alt-L on ANYTHING - if the data is part of the standard Datafile applications then you can obtain access from a hot key to all the relevant and important information that you need.

Alt-B Ledger Enquiries

Alt-B simply looks at any database file. It might be an application file such as the sales ledger acconts file, or it could be any file at all e.g. a list of STD telephone codes to quickly look up where a call or enquiry has come from.

And there is more...

Hot keys are available for many more options that can retrieve and display data in such a simple manner.

NEW Datafile CRM Features

We are now developing our ledger enquiries into a CRM system and we already have support for controlling and storing much more infomation about customers and suppliers, even orders and employees such as:

• Notes
• Scanned documents
• Word documents
• Emails

In addition we have instant label printing and copy to clipboard options. During 2008 further facilities are being developed and released on a regular basis that will provide a high proportion of your CRM requirements, the great majority of which will be FREE within your Datafile system.

Where other CRM solutions have all the content management in their own system and then require links to the accounts and order data, we are approaching this the other way around where we already have all the accounting data and are now providing the extra content management.
